The game

Bubblift is a puzzle game about ocean pollution: clean bubbles rise naturally, polluted ones need help, and the deeper you go the more hostile the water chemistry. Simple mechanic, legible theme, shipped complete in 48 hours.

What I did

In a three-person team (design, art, code), I designed the game architecture, level flows and the core balancing mechanic, working in the Godot engine. No purchased assets, no template — a full playable game from zero in one weekend.

What it proves

I can scope honestly, design a mechanic that carries a message, and ship under extreme time pressure with people I’d just met.

I wrote up the full 48 hours — the team composition call, the dangerous first six hours, what broke — in 48 Hours to Build a Game: What Global Game Jam Taught Me.
